Reminder Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) Goes Into Effect April 1

April 1, 2020

Topics: Covid-19 Resources

As we have previously written about, the FFCRA goes into effect commencing today, April 1.  The FFCRA makes employees eligible paid leave that is taken for certain COVID-19 related purposes.

The FFCRA also requires employers to conspicuously post a notice on employees’ rights under the FFCRA.  That posting can be found here and must be posted by today, April 1.  Employers need to post this notice where they normally post required employment posters.

At the physical worksite employers should post in break rooms or other similar locations that employees frequent at each work location.  The posters should not be obscured or place in a binder.  Employers who have remote employees or employees currently working remotely may satisfy the posting requirement by e-mailing the poster or posting the notice on an internal or external website.

If you have any questions on this poster or the FFCRA, fell free to reach out to our attorneys who will assist you.
