Ann Fromholz is an employment attorney with more than 31 years of experience. Over her career, she has represented companies and individuals in the full range of employment litigation, including claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, invasion of privacy, and wage/hour claims. Ms. Fromholz develops case strategy for every matter in close consultation with her clients and after a thorough analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of her case. By putting her clients’ interests first, Ms. Fromholz has reached favorable resolution of cases through settlement when appropriate, and has litigated cases through arbitration or trial when that path is the correct one.
Ms. Fromholz counsels businesses on a wide range of policies: leaves of absence; disability accommodation; hiring and dismissal decisions; performance management, policies and handbooks, and background checks.
Ms. Fromholz also advises client in negotiating complex employment and compensation packages, and in negotiating favorable exit packages.
Ms. Fromholz advises clients on investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct, including harassment, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, discrimination, retaliation, code of conduct breaches, and privacy breaches for public and private employers, as well as hazing and bullying for primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. She sat as the hearing officer for appeals in the Title IX process at two University of California campuses.
Ms. Fromholz was elected as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, the highest peer recognition a labor and employment lawyer can achieve. She also was elected as a member of the Chancery Club of Los Angeles. She has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer since 2014. She is active in the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, where she is a member of the President’s Advisory Committee on Women in the Profession and served for nine years on the Judicial Appointments Committee.
